Why we built LabDecode
Every year, hundreds of millions of lab tests are run in the United States. Most patients now receive their results through portals like MyChart, MyQuest, and LabCorp Patient — often before they've had a chance to talk to their doctor. That gap creates anxiety, late-night searching, and a lot of unnecessary worry.
We created LabDecode to fill that gap with clear, accurate, plain-English explanations. Not to replace your doctor — to help you walk into your appointment informed and ask better questions.
Our standards
Health information is only useful if it's trustworthy. Every page on LabDecode is built to meet these standards:
- Physician-reviewed. Clinical content is reviewed by US board-certified providers before publication, with the reviewer and date shown on the page.
- US reference ranges. Our ranges are aligned with Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, and ARUP, using US-standard units (mg/dL, mEq/L, g/dL).
- Guideline-based. We cite the CDC, NIH/MedlinePlus, the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, and the National Kidney Foundation.
- Privacy-first. Our tools run entirely in your browser. We never store or transmit your lab values.
Our medical review team
Note for launch: replace the reviewer name, credentials, photo, and license details above with your real medical reviewer before publishing. Authentic, verifiable authorship is required for YMYL health content to rank and to be trustworthy.
What we are — and are not
LabDecode is an educational resource to help you understand the numbers on your report. LabDecode is not a medical provider, does not diagnose conditions, and does not give personalized medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your specific situation.
